Summer Star to take charge ahead of West Cork at a strong tempo. HALF MOON ROO (10) ran fifth at her latest appearance over 1400m at Gatton, clocking in 4.5 lengths from the winner. Profiles nicely for this and should be going very close. The well-related WEST CORK (2) (half to G1 winner Qafila) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, last start over 1310m at Lismore. Must be included among the main hopes. SUMMER STAR (11) turned in a better run last time at the second run back to finish third over 1577m at Wondai. Well placed and can figure in the finish again. OAKFIELD EAGLE (8) next in line despite the wide draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Half Moon Roo for the win.
