A solid tempo is on the cards with Meisho Itamae and Win Vertex pushing for the lead ahead of Maruyo Haruki and Berdina. WIN VERTEX (3) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish second over 1400m at this track. Drawn to take a nice trail just off the speed and anticipating another big run. MEISHO ITAMAE (4) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth over 1600m at this track. Expected to be in this for a long way. BERDINA (8) was racing well without winning, finishing in the money on two consecutive occasions, before finishing seventh last time out over 1600m at this track. Great chance to bounce back. MARUYO HARUKI (6) returns from a layoff of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 800m at this track. Among the better hopes.
