Pace strong with Hammer Time and House Of Tudor leading with Sacred Dior nearby. HAMMER TIME (1) was a beaten favourite in his first start in the South Island, finishing sixth, but less than a length from the winner. That run was 2 months ago, and he has been sharpened by a recent trial win at Ashburton. With some luck from a wide gate, he can take this out. Follow your money. MORUS (9) is progressing nicely and was game in defeat when finishing second at Oamaru last time out. Michael McNab has picked up the wide, and despite a wide gate, he can go one better here. FLYING CELEBRATION (3) won her penultimate start at Awapuni on the poly track, and then was fifth there 2 weeks ago. She makes her South Island debut and will be among the hardest to hold out. INVESTIGATE (8) strips fitter second up, and also drops in class. Expect some sharp improvement this time. Each way value. MY BOY ZAC (5) will be peaking third up in the South Island. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hammer Time is good enough to win, and Investigate is worth an each-way ticket.
