Not seeing a great deal of early speed. NISHINO EGRET (3) hasn't featured at his last two runs, the latest when beaten 25 lengths into seventh at Kokura. Goes from the JRA circuit to an inferior race today. Expected to figure. COPANO BAHAMA (6) has been out of the money at his last couple, the latest when ninth at Kokura. Getting down in the weights now. Forgive the last couple in tougher assignments. Can bounce back. KASHINO SASUKE (4) was always well out of his ground when 17 lengths from the winner in 18th over 1200m at Kokura last start, a less impressive effort than his 14th at Kokura the run before. This doesn't look as hard so he is sure to be prominent. PATRASCHE (7) has been in the betting at both starts but has failed to break through. Most recently finished sixth over 1300m at this track, beaten 11 lengths. Deserves another chance.
