Phar Lap Raceway   07 Sep 2025

GOING: G(3)

VALE TONY DENNIS 1200m

Track: GOOD3     True

Professional Lad is expected to lead at a keen tempo. ORIGIN OF LOVE (7) makes her debut from the Walker/Bergerson stable, who have a terrific record in placing their team in the right races when having their first starts. This filly has had plenty of trial experience in the North Island, and Opie Bosson has taken the ride. On top in this. PROFESSIONAL LAD (2) was runner-up on debut in his only start as a juvenile earlier in the year. He resumes with the blinkers on and was close up in a recent trial. From a good draw, he is the main threat to the top pick. QUISIERA (4) led and gave a good sight fresh up on the Riccarton Poly track 11 days ago, finishing runner-up by a short-head. She has the fitness edge over the top 2 picks, and should be right in the finish again. ALOTTAGO (1) was third in all 3 starts as a juvenile, and looks to have strengthened up since then when winning a recent Ashburton trial very comfortably. Don't underestimate him in this. THE FED EXPRESS (3) has been showing promise at the trials and is worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Origin Of Love, Professional Lad, and Quisiera to fight out the finish here.
