Expecting Smooth Operator to lead In Vegas at just a moderate tempo. CHAPINTEEL (8) resumes from a spell and will ensure that her trainer, Terri Rae, will be all set for a big day with many top chances, including this mare. She was third in a recent trial and is well forward to contest a mile fresh up. She has always needed time to mature, and this season should be her best. On top. ELEGANT LADY (6) has been a very versatile mare, who is very competitive at this level. She was third in a tune-up trial, and though she has yet to feature fresh up, she does have Opie Bosson in the saddle for the first time. A win would be no shock. SIR ALBERT (3) was a touch inconsistent last season in tougher fields than this. He has a good draw, and at this level, he can start his campaign off on a positive note. Each way. SMOOTH OPERATOR (1) might need some racing but can't be risked fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chapinteel to win, but Sir Albert and Elegant Lady can also take this out.
