In the absence of noted leaders, Haze and Green Run may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. GREEN RUN (5) darted through and looked the winner at Scone last start only to be outgunned late over the mile. Back that furlong in trip is a plus and drawn to get another nice run. Sure to be in the finish. HAZE (1) has a big weight to carry and is up 2kg on his strong third-up win at Narromine. Still on the way up so can't dismiss him just because of a weight rise. SAINTLY SANDS (6) was an odds-on favourite and was cut down late over 1600m at Narromine last start. Blinkers go on and back in trip so entitled to another chance. VIS I DO (2) and KOBOLD (7) are both racing in good form and have a case to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Green Run each-way. Save on Haze.
