Keen tempo with Bax Factor and Moonlighting prominent. MONTAUK (8) showed talent at the start of her career, and she will be resuming from a spell that would have done her the world of good. She showed that she is on target by winning a recent trial at Ashburton very comfortably, and with the advantage of the pole position, she is the one to beat. LET ME LOOSE (7) improved with racing last prep, and will be a lot stronger this season. She was close up in a recent trial and would have no problem with a firmer surface. The side winkers are on, and with Kylie Williams in the saddle, you can expect a positive ride early on. Each way. SOLAR SAINT (6) is a progressive mare who finished runner-up when resuming from a spell at Oamaru just over 3 weeks ago. She cops a tougher gate here, but with some luck, she can figure in the top 3 again. NAVAL COMMAND (4) won a recent trial, and he has shown enough in the past to say he should pick up a win this season. SAXON LEGEND (5) is making his debut after finishing close up in a recent trial. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Montauk should go close to taking this out.
