Just a moderate tempo headed by Layover, Cosmo Ivy and Franconia. LAYOVER (1) travelled in a rearwards position then made a little ground and finished 6 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1200m at Niigata five weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Is very well placed this inferior company; the measuring stick. FRANCONIA (4) was in the firing line on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1500m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MEISHO HIMEGOZE (9) bounced back last start and got the job done by 2.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner as favourite over 1500m at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run. COSMO IVY (3) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1500m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed to find some form.
