GOING: S(7)

FRANK CRIPPS MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1180m

Track: Soft 7   Rain (Max: 23)   Rail: True.

Getty, Brial Rose and Grande Bellezza to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. GETTY (3) unwanted in betting when came out quickly for a dominant on pace win over 1206m at Canberra Acton. Back in grade and can repeat the latest performance. TOKYO ICE (7) had mixed luck in both runs back and drops a few levels today. Up in grade when a fading ninth over 1200m at Gosford in a BM64. Can stalk the speed and take a hand in the finish. WONDER STEP (6) deep into his prep and racing in career best form. Made it three wins from his last four starts when rounding them up effortlessly to salute over 1100m at Dubbo. Can measure up again in this stronger contest. GRANDE BELLEZZA (9) improving mare who demolished inferior opposition on resumption over 1100m at Gilgandra. Goes just as well second up and worth more than a passing glance. BRIAL ROSE (8) kept fresh for this after going under narrowly when third at Corowa over 1200m. Fitted with a recent 1000m tick over trial. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Getty expected to win again.
