Sardinia Bay and Barney Mcgrew should set a strong gallop. ORBIT (9) is better than his last start run would suggest as he raced wide around the turn and was reported to have a mouth injury. He returns from a spell which would have done him the world of good. His best form has come over this distance and with luck in the running, he would not be a shock winner. RATTLESNAKE (4) won a game race over this distance at Kenilworth last time out. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect. SARDINIA BAY (7) scored as the favourite last time out at Kenilworth after having placed second two runs back. Richard Fourie takes over the reins and he looks well placed to go back-to-back. BARNEY MCGREW (2) finished second of eight at long odds last start at Kenilworth over 1000m and should strip fitter. Having his third run this prep and having placed in that state previously rates well as a leading chance.
