Just a moderate tempo without an obvious speed influence. Competitive. AFFIRMATIVE SMILE (8) is in a leading metro yard and was expected to win at Swan Hill first up, but didn't manage the wide barrier beaten 2.3L. She brought strong relative form to that, and this is winnable with average luck in the run. TORONESS (6) did a good job beaten 2L at Warracknabeal first-up and she'd jumped out well. Comes back to a shorter sprint, but maps well and her best is good enough. PATH TO PROFIT (11) debuts for the premier yard and has looked good at the jumpouts. The rail is there to use and she's likely to race well. ANYWAYS (9) debuts from an inside barrier and also has a nice profile. The betting will be key in this race, generally. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Affirmative Smile.
