Loads of early pressure, primarily from Smart Spear, Hawaiian Time and Suzuka Double. SMART SPEAR (7) returns from an eight-month break. Raced twice in the maiden campaign for two wins, the latest over 1600m win at Kyoto. Rates highly and hard to knock. EPOCH VENUS (4) finished eighth last start when second-up over 1600m at Niigata but it is worth noting she won at the only third-up run. Can bounce back to her best form. MY SYMPHONY (5) resumes. Wasn't far away at the only run last time in work, finishing fifth over 1800m at Kokura 11 weeks ago. Looks a strong top-three prospect. MOONLIT NIGHT (6) is back from a break of 11 weeks. Raced below par at his only appearance last prep when tenth over 1800m at Kokura. Has to be respected.
