The speedy trio Doitwithdiamonds, Rattle Bag and Princess Ilaria can set the pace from the outset. DOITWITHDIAMONDS (1) set the pace over 1600m last time but was outrun late and finished second. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and if keeping on a straight line, she should be the one to beat. PRINCESS ILARIA (3) finished fourth and not far behind the top pick last time out. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. FUTURE DATE (8) was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1600m on the Vaal Classic course last start. She rises in class, but has plenty of scope and can repeat the dose. WILLY MEET AGAIN (5) was a tad disappointing in her post maiden effort at the Vaal. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From pole position, there should be improvement to come. Stick with her on an each-way basis.
