Genuine tempo with the speedy Bondurant leading the way. MAGIC CONQUEROR (1) has found some consistent form again since joining the Georgina Holt stable and was a brave third off a tough trip from a wide gate at Cairns last time out. He was runner-up in his penultimate start and will find this company much easier. Hard to beat with the advantage of the pole position. BONDURANT (7) will be nearing his full fitness third up and was only run down late at Yeppoon last start after setting the pace. He is nicely weighted with only 53kg to carry this time and can take them all the way this time. GULF OF LION (3) was a touch disappointing last start at Cairns after a tidy win as favourite at Home Hill before that. He has been placed in his only start on this track and is worth another chance. FRESH PRINCE (9) has improved in each of his starts back from a spell and is drawn to receive a cosy run early on. He will be peaking third up and with Adam Sewell back in the saddle, he is ready to put his best hoof forward. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Magic Conqueror to win.
