Pace looks strong with Libyan Glass pressing on from an outside draw, joining Festes Band. Grade 3 placegetter OPEN FIRE (11) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 1.5 lengths away in sixth over 2400m at Tokyo on June 8 which was the only run of that prep. Has scored first-up from a spell before. Should be in the finish. MAKOTO VELIKIJ (8) drifted well back when resuming last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 2200m at Niigata. Will be tough to hold out again. COPANO SANTOS (9) is back from a spell of five months. Won at both runs last prep, the latest at Kyoto over 2200m. Generally goes well here. Expected to run well. LIBYAN GLASS (13) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on March 30, finishing 11th and beaten 14 lengths over 3200m in the G2 Dubai Gold Cup at Meydan. Definite top-three chance in this company.
