The race pace looks okay in this 3yo only event but no records will be getting broken. AGE OF DISCOVERY (1) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1200m at this track two weeks ago. He had been trialling well many times prior so has the experience to remain unbeaten. LIL ZENA (4) is a four-start Maiden who returned last time and finished fourth in the LR Canterbury Belle Stakes at this track over 1200m, beaten 1.75 lengths. This is easier here. Should be the quinella with the top pick. SIMSALA (2) is improving with racing. Can pay a dividend here or be first four. CLOCHE (3) is back from a spell of four months. Won on debut at the only appearance last prep, collecting an 1100m contest at Wingatui by 1.5 lengths. Has more wins on store. The tote will be very telling. CONFLICT (7) is a class dropper.
