Loads of early pressure, primarily from Kaju Faith, State Diadem and Za Atom. STATE DIADEM (1) last appeared when she finished second over 1200m at Fukushima on July 13. Genuine mare who has two wins and a placing from five first-up runs. Expect her to play a major role. DIADOCHOS (5) finished midfield on his return from a spell last start over 1200m at this track, making good late inroads. Will strip much fitter so he is certainly one to consider. RAISINS NOIRS (6) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Sapporo with success over 1200m at the same track four weeks ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. TESSERA LIEN (13) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Looking to emulate her win at Fukushima when returning from a spell last prep. Worth plenty of thought.
