ELLIOT NESS (2) raced up on the pace and had a bit on his rivals last time with an impressive 5 lengths win over 1100m at this track. Fitter for that run and expected to be in the finish again. WAR FRONTIER (9) settled midfield before battling on evenly and finishing fourth last time out over 1200m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Drops significantly in the weights. Leading player. SURREY HILLS (1) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1100m at this track after being in the firing line on the corner. Worth noting Marc Lerner goes aboard. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. MISSION FIVE (6) is back from a spell of six months. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Should run very well.
