Genuine pace with Kunapipi taking up the running ahead of Blue Rocket and Mean Machine. BLUE ROCKET (4) won a trial before finishing sixth of 7 fresh-up on this track when peaking on her run late and then improved sharply to run second here a fortnight ago, less than a length from the winner. The extra 100m could make all the difference and she is poised to go one better this time. TRUE APOSTLE (2) was only beaten by a nose when resuming from a spell and then got too far back from a wide draw last time out, finishing near the rear. He has a superior gate this time and is expected to bounce back into the money immediately. MEAN MACHINE (1) has been third in his last couple of starts since winning for the first time here on a heavy track by a nose 3 starts back. He is capable of another big run, even from a wide gate. Each way all day along with JACKPOT BINGO (5) who is close to peaking. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Rocket to win.
