GOING: G

REMEMBERING GAVIN ALMANZA CAPE C STAKES 1250m

Track: GOOD   Rain (Max: 15)

Hot tempo expected with Definitely Yes, Bank Street and Kelp Forest heading the charge. O'TENIKWA (11) resumed from a spell last start and dead-heated for first over 1000m on this course. He will like the rise to 1250m. The obvious concern is his wide draw but Corne Orffer knows him well and he should give him all the necessary assistance needed from the saddle. AIR RAID (12) returns from a spell during which time he was gelded. He followed up his debut victory with a good third-place finish. If not in need of this outing, he should be finishing in the money. DAWN TILL DUSK (4) recorded his maiden victory last time out over 1000m at this track, scoring by a neck. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and he is a great chance to go back-to-back. DEFINITELY YES (1) finished midfield when resuming from a break last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 8 lengths when well supported. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position and should be finishing in the money.
