Annie's Street should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest. CHINA GROVE (9) has struggled at his last couple of runs since a game win over this distance at Tamworth on 16 August. Drops sharply in the weights and gets a nice run from an inside draw. Worth another chance in this even affair. RED BERYL (2) should be peaking at the fourth run back from a spell. Good effort last Saturday to be beaten under a length in open company over 1400m at Barraba. Won here at his only visit so must be respected. BIG SHORT (5) has failed to feature in recent appearances, all over shorter trips. Three runs at the mile have yielded a couple of placings so he is open to improvement. TOULON FACTOR (3) finished just outside the placings at Barraba last weekend. Hardy veteran suited by an extra furlong today. SUGGESTED PLAY: China Grove each-way.
