Pleasing Surprise possess good early speed and will battle for early honours. BOOMLANDER (4) has not raced since being well held over 1100m at Ipswich seven weeks ago. Goes from Tony Gollan to the Kieran Hazelton stable. Best Queensland form reads well in this weak maiden so he can win if forward enough. RIBELLA (6) worked through the line fairly to hold fourth last time out over this trip at Tuncurry. Lightly raced mare with more upside than most of these. Should play a big role. READY TO MINGLE (13) has switched stables since a string of plain efforts in Queensland during the winter. Can feature from a good gate with a light weight.
