Solid tempo with Wabrami to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. WABRAMI (9) started at massive odds but turned in an eye-catcher last start over 1100m at Bathurst, rattling home from midfield on the corner to be beaten just 0.6 lengths in a busy finish. Finds an easier race today and looks well in on 55kgs. The testing material. HOTTIE (3) has not appeared since leading all the way to win her maiden over 1200m at Murwillumbah in June. That was only her second race start so there is plenty of improvement to come this prep. DEHERO (2) led but folded late and finished midfield last Sunday over 1300m at Armidale. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and should offer a bit more resistance this time. SUPER MIND (4) returned in good order at Barraba last Saturday and is worth considering. WESTERN EAGLE (5) might surprise off a five-week freshen up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Wabrami.
