Alalcance and Nellie Leylax to bowl along in front. The scratching of stablemate Travolta makes this a touch easier for SALTCOATS (4) who met with strong support last time out in the 2000m Premiers Cup at Rosehill but was a little underwhelming. Put that down to a heavy track - form on top of the ground is excellent so he deserves another chance. GLORY DAZE (5) was no match for Saltcoats two back on the Kensington track. Registered black-type placings in the two runs prior to that so on 54.5kgs he looks beautifully placed. Irish import SALT LAKE CITY (7) is slowly putting it together and might be looking for this sort of trip now. Recent Premiers Cup winner NELLIE LEYLAX (3) is getting up in the weights and is a risk on a drying track but the last effort was dominant. The interesting runner is ALALCANCE (1) who hasn't appeared since failing as favourite in the Sydney Cup. Has won three of four when fresh so her credentials are hard to fault. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saltcoats to earn his ticket to the Big Dance.
