A keen early contest likely with Max The Cat and Unju Two Hearts pushing for the lead with Yongbi Star and Daeseungnija on their backs. BIG BOY (4) was a beaten favourite when resuming and then led throughout in his last start to score an effortless 7-length win over 1400m at this track. Now that the penny has dropped he is one of the top chances again. DAESEUNGNIJA (2) is still a maiden after nine runs. Was popular in betting last time out but didn't live up to market expectations, finishing fourth over 1400m at this track. Another honest effort can be expected. MAX THE CAT (5) is third up today. Turned in a better run last time when second, beaten 5 lengths, at this track over 1600m. Should camp just off the leaders and can take this out. UNJU TWO HEARTS (9) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. She steps up to a mile for the first time and is worth another chance on an each-way basis.
