Lack of early pace suggests a pedestrian tempo is on the cards over this journey. WUDDZZ (2) was battling for form until a strong turnaround last start, running very well in a BM78 at Swan Hill, beaten under a length in second. Drops a fair way in grade here and if he brings anything like that form he'll go awfully close. KING'S CROSSING (1) is coming off a solid win in this grade at Swan Hill and has an excellent record at this track having never missed a place. Drawn wide but with any luck slotting in he'll be fighting out the finish. PREFERENTIAL (10) was a smart winner at Stawell two back and was beaten under a length in a messy finish at Sandown-Lakeside last start. Can roll forward and give a sight. FREEDOM ESCAPE (3) was just fair last time but had been racing well prior and can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wuddzz on top.
