Good early pressure for the lead is expected with Balgowan or Jordy Girl likely to take up the running. STEVE'S WAY (6) found winning form again with a narrow, but strong win, at Wodonga after racing on the speed. Looks nicely off here and won't be far away. IMPENDING SHADOW (4) went about her work in good fashion with an easy win here 18 days ago. Given time to get over that run and looks one of the main threats again. SHE'S PRETTY RICH (3) scored at Werribee two runs back and then was taken across to Morphettville where she filled a place earlier in the month. Is racing in good form and is expected to give this a shake. PERFECT GOLD (8) has had the two runs back from a spell and the signs were good last time with an improved effort at Geelong. Has to be respected here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Back Steve's Way and Impending Shadow to win.
