TOPAZ HANDICAP 1650m Track: GOOD
A solid tempo on the cards with G Liner taking charge. VIVA HUNTER (3) was in superb form prior to a disappointing effort over 1800m last start, where he just didn't see out the extra trip. He was narrowly defeated under similar conditions two back and a return to that level should see him ending his winning drought tonight. BRAVE WITNESS (14) finished 0.5L off the winner over 1800m last start and drops back to the 1650m for today's race where he does have a handy record. He should be prominent from the inside draw and his recent trial on this surface was superb. He'll take plenty of catching from out in front. SUN OF MAKFI (13) hasn't raced since nosing out Viva Hunter back on May 11th, but has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial. He'll need some things to go his way as he gets well back in running, but if the gaps appear, he's sure to be coming home with a head full of steam. MISSION BRAVO (8) can bounce back following a disappointing effort last time out over 1800m.
