Strong early tempo with Champagne In Lace and Galactic Angel leading the way. CHAMPAGNE IN LACE (4) is a leader who brings a big win and a near-miss from the Canberra Acton poly track. She kicked off this campaign with the soft track win on the Canberra turf. Keeps the handy 2kg claim and will take catching. MISS THATCHER (2) resumed here for the new barn with a solid placing in a CL2. She went close in a Rosehill Highway prior and will present fitter. The 3kg claim helps offset some of the extra weight and she should be right in it. HOLD (6) also has a 3kg claimer aboard and drops in grade off an okay run at Wagga. Won first up in Canberra on a slow surface and has likely had excuses here following. Peaks now and a lot better effort is anticipated. DECISIVE LASS (5) drops back to a sprint off a 55-day freshen. She's trialled at Hawkesbury over 800m and it wouldn't surprise if she raced well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Champagne In Lace.
