Contento Massimo has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. CAVALO PRETO (4) scored over this course and distance last time after racing on the speed then lifting to score by 0.8 lengths. Will go forward and should be in the finish again. JAZZ FLAVOR (11) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing fifth and beaten 8 lengths starting at $1.60. Finds a nice race and can atone. SHINING PEARL (8) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 1500m at Kawasaki. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and the extra ground looks a big plus. Can run on into the finish here. FRERE JOIE (7) didn't fire over 1500m at Funabashi last time out when in the market. That followed a good third the run before. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is good enough to play a major role.
