Good early pressure anticipated with a large representation of first starters. A race severely diminished by key scratchings. Two dominate the market with the longer of the pair MILES OF GLORY (9) getting the nod. Last appeared when a close fourth on debut over this distance at Kembla on 17 May. Trialled well at Hawkesbury recently. Gets in well under today's scale so a big return looks on the cards. NAPOLEONIC (3) has not raced since he led for the judge but found one better over 1300m at Newcastle in March. McDonald should be positive from the good gate and this colt is sure to feature in the finish although the very skinny early quote is not appealing. A couple of first starters are next in line. IRONHEART (4) and DON'T TELL POLLY (7) both trailed on 25 August and filled minor placings. Respect any market moves. POLO (12) resumes. Tackles an easier assignment to launch this prep so expect a better performance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miles Of Glory to topple the shortie.
