SHINZO AT COOLMORE COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1300m

Track: SOFT 7   Rain (Max: 10)   Rail: Out 3m Entire. (Pent: 5.8).

Away from the first starters the speed could come from Apache Jack, Hit Song and Homeland but each would be happy to find a leader too. HOMELAND (3) gets the blinkers on after two starts and he hasn't been far away in both to date. Excuses on debut then battled last time. Draws well for the first time and can lift sharply. NAFTALI (8) made a handy debut in a race that's already produced a subsequent winner. Made good ground and likely to be competitive in this. TARRANT COUNTY (4) is an interesting first starter who has trialled okay leading into this. Soft draw and could be in the finish. TIANNAH (7) and HIT SONG (2) are next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Homeland to win.

Was at very long odds at debut, 5th of 12 at this track Ctry Mdn-Sw on June 11 over 1000m, on a slow track; 10 len behind Clear Thinking carrying 57kg at $81. Safely held but by a very smart type who won by over 8 lengths. So wasn't far from the rest. Each-way claims.
