Many of these youngsters step out for the first time so a frantic pace early on is likely. EARTH GOD (3) is a well-bred colt who made his debut at Caulfield over 1100m and ran well enough for third behind a pair of smart ones. Much better for that experience and drawn the inside, he'll take plenty of catching. ALGARVE (8) is a filly by Frosted on debut for the Cummings yard. Her latest jumpout win was quite good and she draws ideally here. Watch the market. REGAL SECRET (14) worked home well on debut at Sale over 1100m to finish second and should come on from that. Drawn wide here but looks a solid each-way hope. DOLLAR SHOT (10) ran a good race at huge odds on debut before tackling a stronger race at Flemington, not disgraced there. Can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Earth God to win.
