Vola Via to take charge ahead of Michael Pascha at a solid tempo. CULMINALE (3) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was prominent at the turn before being beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 2600m at Kokura. Has a fair record when second-up, including three top-three finishes. Fitter and on his best figures would be too good for this field. TIMUR (8) scored narrowly over 2400m at Tokyo last time out with today's jockey Kiwamu Ogino in the irons. Down in the weights this time so he is right in contention once again. MEINER FULL MOON (2) was safely held when resuming last start over 1800m at Kyoto, finishing ninth and beaten 7 lengths. Worth noting he has been in the money at every second-up start. Can do much better. LIFE SAVING (7) finished 8 lengths adrift in ninth last time over 2400m at Kyoto in a disappointing performance. Best figures measure up nicely. Solid top-three prospects if on-song.
