Disappointed at his last run when ninth at Kyoto Dirt - that effort following back-to-back wins. Did launch his last prep with a minor placing over 1200m at this track. Leading contender. RAFALE (3) ran below expectations last time at this track over 1400m, finishing eighth and beaten 4.5 lengths. Generally goes well here. Will be hard to stop. SHONAN OBVIOUS (2) has been thereabouts without winning, the most recent effort a third at Nakayama Dirt over 1200m when he was beaten 1.4 lengths. One of the leading contenders again. TOA JOTO (14) scored last start at Kokura Dirt to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Has the early speed to cross from out wide. Can feature in the finish again.
