Genuine tempo with the speedy Jeans leading the way. BOSS MODE (2) missed 1L first up at Eagle Farm and got even closer here following as a short-priced favourite. Draws awkwardly but keeps a handy 2kg claim and has the blinkers on again. In the premier metro barn and he sets a decent standard. YARANGA (9) will find this a little easier than his third on debut beaten 3.5 lengths at the end of 1000m at Eagle Farm. Has been kept up to the mark with a Doomben trial and has the inside barrier and tongue tie on for the first time. Promising type with improvement to come. POWER AND WAR (6) also debuts and has looked good at the trials. Will get every chance from a soft gate. JEANS (4) placed as favourite at Kilcoy first-up and has plenty in the tank. Don't underestimate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boss Mode to win.
