Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. LALOR (4) is a Snitzel colt on debut for the Hickmott camp and has impressed in his lead-up work. Blinkers stay on for raceday and he draws ideally for Pannell, which sets him up for a bright start. AZYTASS (8) also debuts and is a Tassort filly from the sharp R & C Jolly juvenile system. She showed strong improvement in her latest jump-out and Toeroek sticks. Draws well and is expected to make her presence felt. CHURCHILL ROSE (6) resumes for the Gluyas yard after being narrowly beaten on the Parks track on November 15 when well supported before being tipped straight out. Two solid hit-outs have her ready to fire and she looks right up to this. RICH ON BUBBLES (1) stuck his head out to break the maiden at Pakenham when resuming and while this is deeper, he has upside and sits among the main hopes. CLIFF RUNNER (3) debuts off two Flemington jump-outs and strips fitter for them. Another who can make his presence felt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lalor to win.
