Solid tempo anticipated with Alabama Lass leading the way. The time-honoured Group 3 King's Plate is run over 1200m, and though not a big field, finding the winner will still be tough. SWEYNESDAY (4) just missed out on completing a hat-trick of wins when finishing a game third in the G1 Railway here 6 weeks ago. That sort of form will make him the one to beat in this. ALABAMA LASS (8) needed the run when weakening in the run home here 6 weeks ago in the G1 Railway Handicap when starting as a short-priced favourite. She looked a lot tighter when winning a recent trial at Taupo, and she will be spot on for this race, so follow your money. PLATINUM ATTACK (3) seems to be at his best over 1200m, and his effort in the G1 sprint at Te Rapa last time out over 1400m was not too bad. He was fifth in the G1 Railway and can bounce back into form here. COTE ATLANTIQUE (1) is a Victorian visitor resuming from a spell, and his recent effortless jump-out win puts him right in this. Don't risk him. I'M ALL IN (6) is a lot stronger this year. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Attack each way value.
