ENTAIN/NZB INSURANCE PEARL SERIES FINAL 1400m Track: GOOD4 Out 3m |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Although coming from wide gates Sperlari and Pax Mundi have enough early speed to cross and lead. The Pearl Series Final will end the day at BM72 level over 1400m, and MID OCEAN (8) could be the one to side with off a brief freshen up of nearly 8 weeks. She has been kept sharp with a recent Avondale trial, and her fresh win here on Boxing Day was very good. On top for us. SISTA SUGAR (5) has also been freshened up since failing to fire here in January. She has won a recent Tauranga trial, so is back on track, and her best form is good enough for a race like this. Each way. ELLE SOURIT (2) has rushed through the grades, winning all of her 3 starts to date. She resumes from a decent spell with 2 trials this year under her belt, and if the track is really wet, then she has a big chance to remain unbeaten. SPERLARI (10) dealt with a much softer field fresh up at Waipukurau nearly 3 weeks ago, and though this is much tougher, he will be fitter, so stick with him, despite the wide draw. TRANSACTION (12) cops a good gate and can figure in the top 4. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mid Ocean can win this.
