From the outside gate Chakado can cross and take up the running. ENCIPHERING (10) was a strong winner second-up when coming from a long way back and then wasn’t beaten far last start when ridden positively at headquarters. Expect them to be more conservative from the draw this time. Gets in light with the claim and fourth-up he’ll be very hard to hold out. LONGER ROUTE (5) made a mess of them two back over this trip at headquarters and while less effective last time, he had excuses. Backs up quickly and is well placed to rebound. CHAKADO (1) doesn’t win out of turn but has good early dash and is ticking along nicely. He’ll hunt across from the wide draw and take catching if left alone. TANNENBURG (6) has been warming into his prep with good late work over shorter trips and sets up well fourth-up rising to this journey. Toeroek booking signals intent. JOVIALE (13) continues to progress since his CL1 win at Gawler, should handle the extra trip and is worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Enciphering each-way.
