Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Frangipani. WARM RECEPTION (9) is a talented filly who was tested in tougher class last time when tenth over 1600m in the G2 Gauteng Fillies Guineas at this track. Muzi Yeni who has scored on her two times retains the mount. Expecting a bold showing. WILLY MEET AGAIN (2) stepped up in trip to 1800m last time at Group 3 level at this track and ran below her best, finishing 8 lengths away in fifth. Better suited at this shorter trip so rates among the leading chances. BAKWENA (7) finished fifth two runs back at Vaal then improved last time out to score by 4.5 lengths as public elect after being in contention on the bend over 2000m at Vaal. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is up to the challenge. KISSHOTEN (1) was racing well last preparation with two wins on end before her eighth in the G2 Ipi Tombe Challenge at this track at the latest appearance on December 16. Does boast a strong first-up record. Did commence her last prep with a minor placing over 1450m at Turffontein Inside. Sure to be competitive.
