Cracking tempo with Sugar Schnapps and Decanted leading the way. DECANTED (8) was on speed and fought on for second last start over 1200m at Echuca, making it three minor placings in a row. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Deserves a win and gets chance. ROYAL INFANTRY (2) built on a nice second two starts back at Ballarat Synthetic with a win over 1400m at Ballarat Synthetic three weeks ago, getting home by a head. Drawn for a soft run and will be tough to stop late. SUGAR SCHNAPPS (11) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race and finished 2.75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1200m at Mornington after being prominent at the bend. Progressive type who will take catching. MAMUNO (10) is fitter for a solid return and expected to be in the finish this time. BAGANOV (3) gave a sight fresh to place and fitter again will be in this for a long way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Decanted.
