POISON CAESAR (7) is the clear benchmark after opening this campaign with two Urawa wins, the latest by four lengths as a prohibitive odds-on favourite after beating Britten. He has now won three from five overall and the exposed recent form is the strongest in the race. MAHNE FLOTTANT (10) is the main danger on consistency, having been beaten a neck two back and two lengths last start, with a strong record over this Urawa 800m. KOTORINO UTAU UTA (11) has winning form from Kawasaki and was third behind Poison Caesar here, so she is honest but needs to turn that margin around. WINE WINE RED (8) resumes from a long break, which is the obvious reservation, yet he signed off with consecutive Kawasaki wins and has enough back-form to be a genuine place threat if returning in similar order.

The winning strike-rate is modest, yet her latest effort keeps her in the minor-money mix. |
