Plenty of pace from Regina Kazu, Peace Blossom and Bear K matching motors ahead of Fold In. ON BAIT (4) sets the standard after consecutive Kasamatsu wins, the latest by three lengths as a heavily supported odds-on chance, and her two-from-two record both at the track and at the distance gives the form a very solid shape. SATSUKI QUANTUM (2) is the main danger on her eight-length win here a fortnight ago, though she was beaten five lengths by On Bait the run prior, so she still has a margin to bridge on that direct line. QUATRE BLANCHE (7) brings different form, having run fourth in a 2yo Open over 1800m at Sapporo after winning at Mombetsu, and the drop back to 1400m is the main query. NINE SYMPHONY (8) earned respect with a last-start Kasamatsu win over this trip, but On Bait had him well covered two back, making him more a contender if the recent improvement is genuine.
