His prior third behind Macalas keeps the form line solid, and two wins at the Mombetsu 1000m give him the most rounded profile. MAX ISLE (12) is the obvious danger, unbeaten after scoring on debut from Sekitei Vivi, and she has already shown she can handle this course and distance under race pressure. SILVER RIDER (11) improved sharply when third to Tiffany Sienne last start and is aided by a stronger recent 12-month record than most of these, though the previous 1200m defeat remains a caution. JACK ROUGE (6) brings consecutive fourths and has been close enough to warrant respect, but the long-standing maiden record makes him a place-leaning winning chance rather than the main pick.
