Win Polaris is the likely leader at a slick tempo. PECHE PLATE (9) brings the strongest overall case despite a plain sixth at Kasamatsu last start when beaten over 13 lengths in 3yo+ C1 company. Her fourth to G T Oka the run before, beaten a length and a half, reads well for this C7 over 800m, and her two Kasamatsu wins give her a firmer platform than most. WIN POLARIS (5) is the obvious danger on profile rather than latest result, having started favourite at both recent runs but finished well beaten; the class drop and strong Kasamatsu stable-rider combination keep her right in calculations. ARCHIBALD (2) improved to fifth last start and has enough place consistency to be a genuine threat for the minor money, though the maiden record and track-distance numbers temper the winning case. AVANZA YUKI (8) was close up two runs back and worked home last start, but she also has the 800m query and must turn that honest form into something sharper.

The start prior was another last placing in the same grade behind Ko Lanta, and she was unwanted in the market on both occasions. Dropping to this C7 helps on paper, but the back to 800m query and 27 unplaced Kasamatsu runs make this a difficult assignment. |

Still a maiden after 16 starts and unplaced in five at this track and distance, but this looks a more suitable C7 and he can run into the minor money. |

Those positives are useful background, but her recent form needs a clear revival. |

She had also failed as favourite in a 1580m 3yo+ C1 the run before. Even so, this is a class set-up that can suit, she has the speed to be prominent over 800m, and her Kasamatsu and jockey records are stronger than most rivals. A rebound would not surprise. |
