DROP OF RAY (9) has the most persuasive current profile, having placed at all three Kasamatsu runs and again filled second at C1 level last start when beaten two and a half lengths as a prohibitive odds-on favourite. She has been costly at short quotes, but this C6 assignment gives her the right chance to convert. KO LANTA (4) is the chief danger after a sound fourth over 1580m and a previous C1 win here, with her Kasamatsu 1400m record and rider combination reading well. ONE SHORT DAY (1) has enough C1 form to stay in the minor-money mix, although she needs to finish off better than at her past two.
