COMBAT TAURUS (3) sets the standard after a decisive Mizusawa win, scoring by four lengths from Mozu Gold Medal and confirming his suitability to this course and distance. His previous fifth in 3yo+ B1 company at Morioka Dirt also reads better than the market expected, so the last-start improvement has substance. HAPPY DANCE (1) was beaten just under two lengths as favourite here last week and must be stronger late, but her Morioka Dirt second in 3yo+ C1 company gives her a genuine winning case. KITANO INDY (4) has to rebound from a six-length fifth, yet his win over Big Ryuo two starts ago keeps him right in the race. BELLAGIO HOPE (6) was beaten only half a length at Mizusawa last week and brings the clearest each-way threat if he repeats that effort.

She is third-up, has placed at this distance, and only needs to finish off with more purpose to be a serious winning threat. |
