Genuine tempo with Happy Bivouac leading the way. SHKMERULI (7) gets the narrow nod in a C1 where the shortlisted chances all bring some recent query. His fourth over 1600m was a big beaten-margin result, but he did make ground late and his previous second to Apsara at Kochi, beaten a length, reads as the clearest recent performance in the race. The return to 1400m also suits on his five wins at the track and distance. DANON JUSTICE (6) has not been finishing his races off, yet the class drop, return in trip and prior Kochi record make him a genuine danger if he can lift from his last-start sixth behind Juggernaut. ONE LEON (2) resumes after two months and is better judged on his two wins and three placings from 13 starts at this track and distance than on two moderate recent runs at big odds. WAKUWAKU DREAM (3) is the value-leaning selection: her latest efforts were poor, but the light weight and solid 12-month profile keep her in the mix if she rebounds sharply.

The drop to 1400m and her four placings from seven at the track and trip give her a place profile, though the win edge remains the issue. |

Two wins and three placings from 13 starts here at 1400m keep him right in this, provided he produces a sharper late finish fresh. |
